1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of the SecularM Sacco website and the member portal reached from it. They do not set out the terms of your membership, your savings, or any loan. Those are governed by the SACCO's by-laws and the agreement you signed when you joined, copies of which are available from the office.
If anything on this website conflicts with the by-laws or your signed agreement, the by-laws and your agreement take precedence.
2. Who may use the member portal
The member portal is for registered members of SecularM Sacco. Accounts are created by the office. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity carried out under your login.
If you believe someone else has used your account, tell the office immediately.
3. Information shown in the portal
Balances, statements and loan figures in the portal are provided for your information. They are drawn from the SACCO's records and may not reflect payments that have not yet been posted. Where a figure in the portal differs from the SACCO's books, the SACCO's books are the authoritative record.
If a figure looks wrong, please raise it with the office so it can be checked.
4. Loan applications made through this website
Downloading a loan application form does not create any entitlement to a loan. A completed form is an application only. All loans remain subject to approval by management in line with the SACCO's lending policy, and Emergency Loans are granted at management's discretion after the applicant has presented their case at the Head Office.
5. Requests to change your details
Requests submitted through the "Update my details" form are requests, not instructions. Your name, ID number and date of birth are identity details and are only changed once the office has verified who you are. The office may ask to see your national ID before making a change.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to attempt to gain access to any account or area of this site that is not yours, to interfere with its operation, or to submit information you know to be false. Submitting false information in support of a loan or a change of details may be treated as a disciplinary matter under the by-laws.
7. Availability
We aim to keep this website and the portal available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Services may be unavailable during maintenance or because of faults outside our control, including failures at third-party telecommunications, internet or banking providers.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed. Continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
10. Contact
Questions about these terms should be sent to the office using the contact details on this page.
